Lewie Day is a gifted musician and producer, who has shown an unparalleled maturity and determination in his progression from pre-pubescent pianist, to well-received club DJ.
With residencies at Room (Thursdays), Bliss (Fridays) and Onelove (Saturdays) Lewie is a DJ with experience beyond his 19 years. An irrefutable talent and solid reputation has earned Lewie the opportunity to play alongside many of the worlds finest – including Axwell, Judge Jules, Albert Cabrera, Tom Novy and Soul Avengers - at Melbourne’s premier clubs. Further, Lewie recently played a mash-up set in the main room at Rock ‘n Race – the official Grand Prix party at Room.
Lewie’s first gig was at Room in November 2004, at age 18. Somewhat of a child prodigy, Lewie was playing the piano at age 3 and was proficient on the guitar, drums and saxophone by his early teenage years. Already heavily influenced by music, Lewie had an excellent grounding to evolve into the acclaimed DJ that he is today.
Lewie’s passion and aptitude for music snowballed into his creating melodic house and trance tracks that have been played by local and international artists. Lewie’s latest track, ‘Striptease’, remains on top of the charts at Kiss FM (kissfm.com.au) and has aroused interest from industry greats like Dave Seamen and Sean Quinn.
Another of Lewie’s tracks, ‘Wizzy Dizzy’, has been played by Ivan Gough from TV Rock, and has received international support from Chris Lake. In 2005, Lewie also produced ‘Faith in Me’ (feat. his sister Flick Day), which has become an increasingly popular vocal house track.
